ZetaSafe sponsor ‘Hornton Classic 6’

The Horton Classic 6 is the annual road running race organised and hosted by Cherwell Runners & Joggers. The race is one of many included in the Oxon Grand Prix.

Each year, the six mile race starts and finishes in Horton and takes competitors around quiet country lanes, through the small village of Horley, and up and down some of the more challenging hills in the area.

Following the race, cakes are available to raise money for a local charity, and a BBQ is offered for runners to bring their own burgers.

The combination of the tough course and social finish has made this a popular race among some of the more seasoned club runners.

As well as organising the race, Cherwell Runners & Joggers select a local charity each year to sponsor. This year the chosen charity was Style Acre, which was set up to support adults with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire through supported living, and providing day services, work experience and volunteer opportunities.

ZetaSafe was pleased to be able to support the race through both sponsorship and one of our staff acting as a race marshal.

Overall, the race was a huge success, with over 120 competitors, a new course record and £250 raised for Style Acre.
